Bokajan College, Bokajan, is an Affiliated college of Assam University, Silchar and recognized by AHSEC, Guwahati which came into existence in 1991. The college is recognized and Financially aided by Karbi Anglong Autonomous District Council, Diphu. The Affiliated Courses of the university are permitted by Government of Assam. With Students strength of more than 2000, the college is veritable melting pot of diverse communities, ideas and creativity. The college is located at Ward No. 6 of Bokajan Town in Karbi Anglong District of Assam. The scenery and green college campus provides an excellent ambience including modern infrastructure conducive for learning.
Since 1991, Bokajan College has expanded both in size and reputation. There are 09 Departments in the college offering B.A. (pass), B.A. (Hons), B.Com. (pass), B.Com (Hons), H.S (Arts) & H.S. (Commerce) to equip students with knowledge, skill, experience and confidence, the benefits of which they can reap well into the future. Despite the fact that the college is still fed by students of average merit it has to its credit to produce more than 780 graduates. H.S. (Arts) section of the college was started in 1998. The number of students passing H.S (Arts) is more than 1650+. They are showing their worth in different spheres of their professional career. There’s no gain saying that in the last two decades of its relentless pursuit of academic excellence, Bokajan College has made giant strides in providing better academic atmosphere and improved infrastructure facilities. Since beginning the H.S. (Commerce) result is 100%. In last three years the college has produced 6(Six) university rank holders - Four Gold medalists and two 2nd Rank holder.After Permission from KAAC, Assam Government and Assam University, Silchar FYUG(Commerce) was introduced in 2023.We express our gratitude towards COE,AU for according Permission to the College as Degree Examination Centre in the year '2023.
